Sindabezi Accommodation
Sindabezi Island sleeps only 10 people, in 5
open-fronted thatched chalets dotted around the
shoreline. The island’s chalets are rustic in style with
wood fires, hot bucket showers on demand and no
electricity. Their unique design allows you to encounter
up close all the sights and sounds of the river and the
creatures that live in and around it, including regular
visits from Horace, our resident hippo.
At night, you will fall asleep in the glow of a
hurricane lamp and be awoken by magnificent sunrises
over the flood plains of the river. Sindabezi Island is
ideal for a honeymoon safari or for families or a small
party looking for complete privacy and good value.
Taking the island privately ensures you will have a
private guide, boat and vehicle throughout your stay.
You can still do all the activities available at the
main Tongabezi Lodge, but with an added 20-minute scenic
boat transfer to and from Sindabezi. |
