Victoria Falls is one of the world’s most spectacular locations. Imagine celebrating your wedding, renewing your vows or commemorating an anniversary on the very edge of the Falls.
The Tongabezi team is ready to lavish attention on every tailor made detail. Your wedding day will begin with a registry ceremony at Livingstone City offices, followed by a unique blessing from a local pastor.
Blessings can take place on Livingstone Island directly overlooking Victoria Falls, accompanied by the Tongabezi African Choir. Alternatively, you may prefer to celebrate on Sindabezi Island, our private retreat, which boasts magnificent views overlooking the Zambezi River and the nearby flood plain of the National Park. You can also choose to receive a blessing on one of the deserted islands near Tongabezi.
We cater for small or large groups and can arrange suitable accommodation for all of your guests in the local area. Expert staff at Tongabezi will take care of all the arrangements including the legalities required by the registry office (yes a Zambian marriage is legal and accepted throughout the world), arranging a priest for the blessing, the order of service (if required), plus flowers, menus, cakes, guest gifts, the choir and other local entertainment such as a DJ or local dancers.

Honeymoons
Tongabezi is the perfect honeymoon destination. In fact the entire lodge was built with romance in mind.
Each of our five houses is beautifully designed to create a feeling of privacy and intimacy, with views across the water and secluded terraces where guests can dine alone beneath the stars. Alternatively, enjoy a candlelit dinner floating on a Sanpan in the Zambezi – while every course is delivered to you by canoe.
Our friendly, attentive staff will ensure you enjoy the honeymoon of your dreams. Indeed, each of our houses is allocated a personal valet who will be available exclusively to ensure your comfort and arrange your entertainment. You can also choose to split your stay between Tongabezi and Sindabezi, our very own exclusive Island camp.
